I really enjoyed putting together the image board for this project. Marc suggested us to put things other than cell phones and current electronic devices on it for inspiration. It really helped to activate different shapes and concepts from the most surprising beginnings.

Setting myself up for the Rendering was a lot different this time, I focused on really well defined sketch's to launch me into the rendering phase of the project and that seemed to work well. I chose to put only the sketch's that were done in perspective, because the compositions tended to feel really flat and stagnant.

Baby Moniter Marker Renderings

This Moniter is meant to slip into your pocket, and vibrate to the level of sound being produced by your baby in the other room, activatied when you pick it up and charges when you put it into the dock.

This is by far my favorite, It's a larger unit that can be used to moniter one or two rooms, just by changing around the base and speaker set up. Becuase most of a baby moniters life is spent not in use, the unit looks complete when they are together. Just pick up the speaker when your ready to move into another room. Although I should have put the volume and power control on the speaker part it's self.

I like the idea of things docking and fitting together, with my first design here I wanted to get a unified form when they where together.

Using the idea of domes and satellite dishes to trap and capture sound, I envision this moniter to be great at picking up sound in the room due to its microphone which is uncovered by the portable speaker when it is removed.
