Advice on Designing a Portfolio

Portfolios can make you, or break you. Hours, days, and months of work can be misunderstood, under represented, and completely blown off if your portfolio doesn't properly showcase your work. In my experience of looking over others portfolios has been that a clean font, very distinct and simple grid (that is followed), and of course a good personality and feel for the actual person.

I have only a small amount of advice to build a great portfolio, but thats because I have only made 1.5 portfolios, and I really think its horrible. I hope that by listing the three pieces of advice, I may be able to keep them in mind to do my next one!
