A new quarter, a new type of post.

Today is an introduction, to me as a designer, and outlining my goals for this quarter.

I have known that I wanted to be in design from a very young age. I actually have a letter, written by myself to myself, from the Eight grade, that listed Industrial Design as the Profession that I wanted to pursue, and DAAP as the school that I wanted to attend.

My design experience has so far been limited toward just Toys, while I worked at Hasbro, but my interests span much further than that. I have a great affinity for the outdoors, like sporting equipment, camping gear, and highly functional clothing.

My goals this quarter are three fold and getting a Job for winter Co-Op is on the top of that list. I also want to hone and refine my portfolio so that it makes me want to sent it to every one, with out fear of my work being criticized over things other than the intellectual concepts. and Finally I want to refine my sketches, this to me is one of the most important skills that a designer holds, above and apart from any other discipline in a company, and is the single greatest tool for communicating ideas.
